Oh GOODNESS

K so I really suck at this blogging thing. I wish I could find the time in my busy life to update more often. I think I need to put a reminder on my computer screen to remind me to update regularly.
So what’s new?
Well I will begin with my oldest daughter Sara, she is in the fifth grade and is a science fanatic, she’s absolutely is intrigued with the ways things work. She has also found a love for volleyball, which I am extremely excited about, seeing how it’s my all time fav sport. Also during the spring and summer we participated in the Bit & Spur Jr. riding club. Sara was determined to go out for rodeo royalty, she made Jr. first attendant. She absolutely loved dressing the part. She was really nervous when she had to do her speech but she did a great job in conquering that fear. She’s ready to go after the Princess title next year!!!!
Zada my sweet little ball of energy! She is in the second grade and is a math whiz. She loves it. She is a social little butterfly and is always busy with friends and cousins. Zada also took part in a 5 week volleyball camp and she’s a natural plus she is going to have the height to go all the way if she wants it. Zada participated in the Bit & Spur Riding club this year and she is also natural in the saddle. She is loved it even when the weather sucked. Her attention span isn’t the greatest but she battled through it. She has decided she will go for rodeo royalty next year also.
Maya my baby!! She started kindergarten this year and she loves it. She’s a social little butterfly too! Play dates all the time!!! Maya also participated in the 5 week volleyball camp she’s a natural bumper I love it. She always wants to play!! She is still my little snuggle bug but she is growing out of it so fast. She was such a trooper when it came to going to riding club practice because she wasn’t old enough to ride this past year. The weather really didn’t cooperate so she was cold all the time!!! But she gets to ride next year.
Mark and I have been doing what we do best, shuttling the kids to activities and to friends. He coached again this year, under the new head coach Kyle Brady. They had a rough season but it’s also the beginning of a new program! It will get better with time. I didn’t go to school so I had a little bit of free time but my work schedule doesn’t allow for a lot of sleep so I try to do that when the kids are at school and Mark is at work.

New stuff in the household

Well it sure has been a while but here we go. Things in the Jackson household have been pretty busy. Last I updated was way to long. So here we go on what’s been going on in the Jackson house.

Mark has been coaching football at Tooele high (Go Buffs) He is the defensive coordinator for the sophomores and he is also the assistant defensive coordinator for the varsity team. With the season finally over he has know started the weightlifting program with the players that are going to return for next year’s season. He has been working quite a few hours. So we really haven’t seen him a whole lot. This past weekend he and his brothers and all the nephews headed up to the high Uintah’s to do some bear hunting. It will probably be the last big get together for the boys before my nephew Joel leaves for hi s mission. He has been called to serve in Tampa Florida. Proud of him and the choice he has made.

Well on to Sara. She has been doing really well in school and of course loves it as she always had. She was a little worried to have a male teacher for the first time but she actually really likes it. She has struggled with math but has begun to over come the struggle. At the end of October she had surgery to have her tonsils and adenoids out. She was getting strep about every two weeks. I just finally just said take them out. She really had a hard go of it. She didn’t eat and she hardly drank for three straight days. But then she got over it and things have been great.

My little tender heart, Zada. She has been doing well in school. She received perfect attendance for the first term at school. She brought home a great report card. I am very proud of her. She is a very busy kid she loves to be outdoors and loves to play with her little sister. She is a very caring and giving child. I need to take lessons from her.

Maya Mi she is such a cuddle bug she spends time in my bed watching cartoons so I can sleep when I get home from work every morning. She loves preschool and wishes she went more days out of the week. She is just like a sponge. She loves Tuesdays and Thursdays because she gets to go to D.I with grandma Karie while I am at school. It is her favorite past time.

I, as in Shelly have been going to work and school and trying to keep my house organized. Mark has begun to help out a little more and I am happy to accept the help. School sucks!! I’m so bored and burned out. I wish I was done and could move on and do the job I want to do. Anyways that is all that is new in the Jackson House.

UPDATE

Well it’s been a while, but here’s the news. Sara has finally participated in her very first rodeo. It was a Jr. Jackpot. She did really well in her age group competitions. She took first in the flag race and 2nd in western pleasure and keyhole. She is loving the camaraderie of the people she rides with. They are all older than her so they have a lot to teach her. She did great on her core testing. She did great. The girls have one week of school left. The summer is soon to begin but where the heck is the sunshine!!!!!
Zada Has enjoyed riding club. She gets frustrated when she can’t ride whenever she wants but she gets over it. The last two weeks of kindergarten are really busy. Last Friday we walked with the kindergarteners and the first graders to the movie theatre to watch Tale of Despereaux. It was so much fun. On Monday we are going to watch them do dances from A round the World, Sara will also be participating. Then on Tuesday we are doing the kindergarten Under the Sea day. Wednesday we are heading to the pool for the end of the year BBQ for the kids reaching and exceeding their reading minute’s goal. Then on Thursday we are walking to the park with the kindergarteners to have a picnic and let the kids run around and have fun. Then my Zada is graduating from kindergarten at 9:00 am on Friday!!!! She is getting so big.
Things with Maya have not really changed since the last update. She will also finish school next Thursday. So sad cause we don’t know if she will be returning to the Early Learning Center next year. The prices are just getting to outrageous.
Mark and I have decided to go to school this summer. I’m taking two classes and so is he. Just light fun classes at least I hope they are. We finally came up with name for my horse. Her name is Pepper Ann. She is amazing and I love her to death. Anyways that is the newest thing going on with us Jackson’s.
