MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas Eve was the annual Jackson Christmas Party! But earlier in the day we went up Middle Canyon and pulled the kids behind the four-wheeler on the sleds. We were late getting up there and the rest of the family was coming down off the mountain, because my brother in law Mat slice is finger open and had to go get stitches. So we loaded up our kids and two of the cousins and headed back up the canyon. The girls had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. After sledding we came home had some hot cocoa and took naps. Then we headed to the clubhouse for dinner and white elephant. It was so much fun the food was awesome. White elephant was a little hard for Zada and Maya, because people continued to take their gifs. Zada cried and cried when her cousin Andrew tried to take her gift of a Hannah Montana wig, so he gave it back and picked something else. May had bubbles and it got taken twice so it was froze she tried so hard to get them back. But Aunt Emily was nice enough to give them to her at the end of the game. She was so happy. After the party we all came home cleaned up and the girls opened their Christmas Eve gifts. Ornaments, Jammies and their Movie. We got Night at the Museum 2. We watched it and then the girls were tucked in bed all warm and snuggly. So Santa could finish getting things ready for the night.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! The holiday was great and the girls made out like bandits. Thanks so much to a very special family member! We spent our day here at the house watching the girls with their new gifts and sleeping which is my fav! The most exciting gift for the girls was when dad brought out a halter and a lead rope! Sara just started bawling cause she new she was getting a horse. We were able to get the girls a 4-H horse and she is awesome. Her name is Christmas Bell and we are going to call her Bell she is a mustang mare and she is so sweet. We took the girls to the barn and let them ride and groom her they had so much fun!
I would like to Thank Aunt Beth for the gifts she sent form England. The girls are excited to have a spa day. We would also like to let everyone know we are thankful for their thoughts at this time of the year and we so enjoyed seeing and receiving Christmas cards. We love all of you and we hope the Holidays were wonderful to you!

My Dad and Katrina

Last night even though it was really late, me and my girls drove into Salt Lake to meet my Dad and Katrina for our annual Christmas citrus. Oh oranges and grapefruits oh I love thee! I love visiting with my Dad and with Katrina and I wish we didn’t live so far away from one another but we do so email and trips are the best way to see each other. I have always wanted to go to their farm up in Idaho but I have never had the chance and I am going to make it a New Year's resolution to get up there before then end of the summer. I want to walk through my dad's garden with him and remember the things I remember most about my childhood. Veggies growing in the earth and the smell of dirt. Love you daddy and Katrina and thank you for thinking of us.

A week before Christmas

Well it is a week before Christmas and all through my house everything was stirring even Mark on the couch. Anyways, the Christmas shopping is done. I haven't wrapped one thing and I'm starting to worry. I work such funky hours all I want to do is sleep. I have sent out Christmas cards and hope you have all received them, or will be soon. This weekend, or should I say Saturday is baking day because I work Sunday afternoon until Monday morning around nine. Yay Me! The girls are getting so excited for the holiday. They get out of school Friday and stay home until the fourth of January. I don't know what Mark is going to do with them; he's going to go nuts. School is finally over for Mark and I this semester, I have to give a big shout out to my determined husband he finally hit 60 credits which is an Associates Degree. (General Education) He just has to fill out paper work and his degree will be in his hands. I love you Boo and I am so proud of you! I am only six credits from my Bachelor's but because I didn't declare a major until recently I have about three semesters to go before I actually get my Bachelors in Microbiology. But I love school so it is no skin off my nose.
Every year we have family Christmas Eve party with the Jackson family and this year we have decided to take the kids tubing up Middle Canyon. We are going to hook the tubes and sleds to the back of the four wheelers and head up the canyon. I think it is a great idea since we don’t do anything during the day. Plus it is an opportunity to take pics outside. Then after tubing we are going to feed our faces with some awesome food. Then we will be home early enough for our family to continue our family tradition. Open up new jammies, the new ornaments for the year and a movie. Then we will sit down and watch the movie and then it’s off to sleep for the girls, so Santa can visit.
