MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas Eve was the annual Jackson Christmas Party! But earlier in the day we went up Middle Canyon and pulled the kids behind the four-wheeler on the sleds. We were late getting up there and the rest of the family was coming down off the mountain, because my brother in law Mat slice is finger open and had to go get stitches. So we loaded up our kids and two of the cousins and headed back up the canyon. The girls had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. After sledding we came home had some hot cocoa and took naps. Then we headed to the clubhouse for dinner and white elephant. It was so much fun the food was awesome. White elephant was a little hard for Zada and Maya, because people continued to take their gifs. Zada cried and cried when her cousin Andrew tried to take her gift of a Hannah Montana wig, so he gave it back and picked something else. May had bubbles and it got taken twice so it was froze she tried so hard to get them back. But Aunt Emily was nice enough to give them to her at the end of the game. She was so happy. After the party we all came home cleaned up and the girls opened their Christmas Eve gifts. Ornaments, Jammies and their Movie. We got Night at the Museum 2. We watched it and then the girls were tucked in bed all warm and snuggly. So Santa could finish getting things ready for the night.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! The holiday was great and the girls made out like bandits. Thanks so much to a very special family member! We spent our day here at the house watching the girls with their new gifts and sleeping which is my fav! The most exciting gift for the girls was when dad brought out a halter and a lead rope! Sara just started bawling cause she new she was getting a horse. We were able to get the girls a 4-H horse and she is awesome. Her name is Christmas Bell and we are going to call her Bell she is a mustang mare and she is so sweet. We took the girls to the barn and let them ride and groom her they had so much fun!
I would like to Thank Aunt Beth for the gifts she sent form England. The girls are excited to have a spa day. We would also like to let everyone know we are thankful for their thoughts at this time of the year and we so enjoyed seeing and receiving Christmas cards. We love all of you and we hope the Holidays were wonderful to you!

My Dad and Katrina

Last night even though it was really late, me and my girls drove into Salt Lake to meet my Dad and Katrina for our annual Christmas citrus. Oh oranges and grapefruits oh I love thee! I love visiting with my Dad and with Katrina and I wish we didn’t live so far away from one another but we do so email and trips are the best way to see each other. I have always wanted to go to their farm up in Idaho but I have never had the chance and I am going to make it a New Year's resolution to get up there before then end of the summer. I want to walk through my dad's garden with him and remember the things I remember most about my childhood. Veggies growing in the earth and the smell of dirt. Love you daddy and Katrina and thank you for thinking of us.

A week before Christmas

Well it is a week before Christmas and all through my house everything was stirring even Mark on the couch. Anyways, the Christmas shopping is done. I haven't wrapped one thing and I'm starting to worry. I work such funky hours all I want to do is sleep. I have sent out Christmas cards and hope you have all received them, or will be soon. This weekend, or should I say Saturday is baking day because I work Sunday afternoon until Monday morning around nine. Yay Me! The girls are getting so excited for the holiday. They get out of school Friday and stay home until the fourth of January. I don't know what Mark is going to do with them; he's going to go nuts. School is finally over for Mark and I this semester, I have to give a big shout out to my determined husband he finally hit 60 credits which is an Associates Degree. (General Education) He just has to fill out paper work and his degree will be in his hands. I love you Boo and I am so proud of you! I am only six credits from my Bachelor's but because I didn't declare a major until recently I have about three semesters to go before I actually get my Bachelors in Microbiology. But I love school so it is no skin off my nose.
Every year we have family Christmas Eve party with the Jackson family and this year we have decided to take the kids tubing up Middle Canyon. We are going to hook the tubes and sleds to the back of the four wheelers and head up the canyon. I think it is a great idea since we don’t do anything during the day. Plus it is an opportunity to take pics outside. Then after tubing we are going to feed our faces with some awesome food. Then we will be home early enough for our family to continue our family tradition. Open up new jammies, the new ornaments for the year and a movie. Then we will sit down and watch the movie and then it’s off to sleep for the girls, so Santa can visit.

Thanskgiving Weekend

Well it's the weekend after Thanksgiving, and things are beginning to settle down a little. Thanksgiving dinner with the Jackson's was great. I have always loved being a part of this family. I am grateful that I have them in my life. I haven't really talked to my family and I am missing them immensely. I wish that I was a part of their lives and was able to be involved. But they live over seas and more than six hours away. With Mark and I not working we don't do a whole lot that involves traveling. So I am grateful that the Jackson's all live here in town.
Ever since I married Mark almost eleven years ago, my relationship with my family has faltered even more than it did when I lived at home. I wish that it could be different but I also know the road goes both ways and that I cannot be the only one to blame for the relationship I share with my mother and my siblings.
My stress level has increased with not having a job and being home all the time. I truly love my girls and my husband with all my heart and soul but I have never really coped well with being needed so much. I am a selfish person and I really need ME time. Mark has slowly come to that conclusion and has allowed me a little more space and knows when it's time for mom to have some time alone.
Christmas is going to be real stretch this year. The girls are hopefully getting their 4-H horse for Christmas and then a few small things under the tree. The horse is up in the air because the people we are getting her from re-nigged on their contract with the guy they sold them to. We bought them and now they are trying to take them back.
Once again I want to let my family know how much I love and miss them and how much I wish we were all a little closer in our relationships.
Daddy and Katrina I love you both and I am truly thankful for all you have ever done for us.
Mom I miss you and hope you are well and things are still what you hoped they would be.
My siblings who choose to read this I love you all so much and miss you guys a ton. I hope one day we will all be able to get together and laugh once again.

Loves to you all!!

PROM

The Tooele High Sha-rons (THS Drill team) did a fundraiser and it was a Daddy-Daughter Prom! Sara asked her daddy to take her to prom about a week and a half ago. He told her he wouldd absolutley love too! So we went dress hunting. We found her a beautiful dress and it was my favorite color! I was truely surprised she liked it so much. I promise I didnt push her to get it cause it was my favorite color she only tried on one dress and that was the one she wanted. Easiest dress shopping I have ever done. I hope it is always that easy. LOL. Her aunt Gina braided her hair cause god knows I can't french braid. Then we put ringlets in the back and then put baby's breath in her hair. She is absolutley breathtaking. She is so gorgeous.
Her daddy was one handsome man tonight. I was totally wishing he was taking me. We got her a corsage and a matching boutinere for her daddy. Yellow roses also my favorite.
I actually went down to the prom to take pictures. My two brothers in law and their daughters were there with my nieces. All the girls are nine years old (Sara almost) and they were all just beautiful. They were so excited to go to the dance with their dads. It was awesome. The Sha-rons did an awesome job of decorating the commons area and there were actually a lot of daddy daughter couples there.
My little Zada had her feelings hurt cause she didn't get to go but I told her she will get her chance. It was just Sara's turn this time.
Anyways I hope that Sara will always remember this special night with her daddy.

Trick or Treat

HALLOWEEN was a big success. We always Trick or Treat main street here in Tooele but this year there were a lot of buisnesses that were not participating. So anyways we walked main and the kids got tons of candy and had a blast. Then we went and let the kids trick or treat up in Blake and Gina's neighborhood and then went to Mat and Mel's neighborhood. Maya decided that she didn't like the walking cause there were to many masks out there and she is terrified of the monsters, if she cant see your face it freaks her out. The girls had a blast with their cousins and going door to door. Between the three girls we probaly got 20 pounds of candy. The girls made out like bandits. But daddy is in charge and he will divy out the candy. G-Ma Karie made the traditional pumpkin sugar cookies. MMMM so good. (Thanks Karie)We slacked on the pumpkins we didnt carve them until the night before but we had a volleyball game to go to on thursday. Way to go Lady Buffs! Anyways that is about it.

Halloween Weekend

Alright it's Thursday and me and the girls are carving pumpkins today and then we are off to SLC to watch my niece Bayli play her last volleyball game of the season against East High. Things around here have been going pretty smooth all except the DAMN snow. Why did it have to snow before halloween? It just sucks cause the costumes the girls chose are not the warmest but they are so damn cute. Maya's costume will keep her really warm so she is golden but the other two I'm not so sure. Mark is in his last week of work at the golf course. And I should be heading back to UPS by the ninth of November. I am actually really excited about going back to UPS. I love the manual labor. It actually makes me feel useful, plus the people I work with are amazing. We are excited to be doing main street trick or treating again this year. Then we are heading to Blake and Gina's for good conversation and to let the kids go door to door along their street. Tooele is a nice little town where they try really hard to have good safe things for the kids to do. So it makes it pretty comfortable. Next weekend I will be moving my mother in law once again. She is moving into a smaller appartment so she doesnt feel so constrained. Whichis good for her she needs less space, casue she won't have to worry so much about the keep up. Anywyas that is the up date for now I willpost pics after Halloween so all can see the girls in their costumes.

30 years

Alright so I celebrated my 30th birthday today. It really didnt phase me. I hear people say it's hard leaving the twenties but its something you can't stop so oh well, just another year older and closer to dying, right? Well because Mark and I both go to school on Mondays we are going to wait and do cake and Ice cream tomorrow. Which is fine with me. It's just another birthday I haven't been feeling well, strep throat I am pretty sure is what I have. I have been taking care of Maya for the last three days she has been really sick. But the nice thing is the others haven't. So its been a little easier with the help. Mark has been working a lot more than usual and I have just been home taking care of the kids and house. I have ventured out and have decided to make Sara's halloween costume this year. She is going to be an 80's rocker girl. Its going to be fun. I am making a tulle skirt that is kind of dark it has black, red and pink and green in it so that it looks punk. She will wear fish net stockings her calf length dress boots and we are going to put a head mic on her. She will have different colors in her hair and she will be wearing a leotard that has different colors on it. Well that's all for now.

Just Beginning

Alright I have been sucked into this blogging thing. I am really hoping things will flow and I will find time to actually keep up on this new thing. I am mostly doing this for my family that is scattered around the globe. This is a new goal for me. To write at least once a week and update everyone on the things that are going on in this Jackson Family thing called our life. So now that, that has been said, Im going to sign off for now and get some other things set up on this blog.
